During the game's official announcement a few months ago, Blizzard had stated that they would hold a character name reservation period for World of Warcraft Classic. In a community post on the Blizzard forum, Bornakk community manager gave some details about character name reservations, starting with the date - players with active subscriptions or the time of play on their World of Warcraft account will be able to join the character name reservation opening next week, Monday, August 12 6:00 p.m. EDT.
